About Hévíz and it’s lake:
The small town of Hévíz, which lies some miles to the west of the bank of lake Balaton, is the home of Hév?íz lake.
One can sense the flourishing beauty of this settlement in the carefully maintained flowerbeds, cobbled pedestrian areas and various sculptures of this nice town.
The Thermal Lake: The “miraculous healing effect” of the Hévíz lake was discovered by the Romans, but despite this fact the true birth of this thermal lake was in year 1795, when the proprietor of this area was Count George Festetics. He initiated the building of the bathing complex around the lake. The true meaning of the town was gained through the healing benefits of the the thermal lake, making H?©v?­z famous all over the world. The lake itself is the largest of it’s kind in the world, 4.4 hectars in size. The hot springs rise from a depth of 38 meters making it unique from all other thermal lakes. The average water temperature is 33-35 Celsius, but in winter it doesn’t drop bellow 23, this allows for all year round bathing in the lake. Due to abundance of local springs, the water replaced within a few days.

The club is 64 km from Budapest, in Remetes?©gpuszta near Tata, next to motorway M1. The hunting estate, formerly the property of the Eszterh??zy family, is now part of the Old Lake Golf & Country Club, with a golf complex, a hotel, and recreational facilities for those who wish to play golf and relax. The club lies in the Gerecse foothills, near the Old Lake of Tata from which it takes its name. The AQUAR?‰NA aquapark in Mogyor??d is the most attractive one in Hungary, it offers an opportunity of hours of challenge and excitement for visitors of any age.
The park is situated in a wonderful neighbourhood on 11.5 hectares, 18 km from Budapest. The whole park can be seen from motorway M3, so our visitors can get familiar with its slides and spectacles from a great distance. The slides sometimes run deep under the ground. For their inner construction they offer special spectacles at these places.

The world of water is joyful and exciting. The main attraction of the park is a 300m long slow river winding around an island that forms even a lake in a cave while flowing further: the Blue Cave with its mysterious lights reminds of the natural formation of the Capri Islands.
Besides the 'arrival pools' there is a pool for the adults equipped with counter-stream, waterfall and mushrooms. The huge children’s pool awaits the youngest with several slides decorated with animal figures.
In the area of the park apart from the slides and the pools many catering units (beer-tent, cocktail-bar), shops, sports grounds, a conference hall, a VIP terrace, a stage, child care facilities and a camp-site can be found. A car park with 600 places belongs to the aquapark, that is free for our visitors.

The Moh??cs Masquerade, called `Bus??j??r??s` (Bushoyarash)is Hungary`s most frightening Carnival. Here you will see dancers in sheepskin costumes, their faces covered by wooden masks and making tremendous noise. This festivity, celebrating the death of winter and the arrival of spring, is brought to an end on Shrove Tuesday with the good-natured burial of the Carnival.

Valley of arts – multicultural festival,
organised by 5 small villages ont he north Balaton region


One of Hungary’s biggest multicultural festivals the Valley of Arts and the 5 organising villages (KAPOLCS, VIG?�NTPETEND, MONOSTORAP?�TI, TALI?�ND?–R?–GD, ?–CS) welcome the visitors in 2007-08 again.

Sziget Festival (Island Festival) Obuda island - Budapest

St. Stephen’s (first king in the hungarian history) Day celebrated with fireworks

On this day we celebrate the nameday of our first king, St. Stephen. Commemorating this date a pre- and a postcelebration day is usually added. Like other state holidays, on this day the program starts with some traditional concerts, children and family programmes, craftstalls, streetparade, fair and food welcome the visitors. The first day night includes a Jazz festival, and the 20th night’s main point is the firework over the Danube, which lasts for 25 minutes fired from 4 different places.
